Hesston knocks off Salina Sacred Heart

A sigh of relief filled the air in Hesston’s locker room after Friday’s 37-29 win against Salina Sacred Heart in a Kansas girls basketball matchup.

Both teams traded salvos in the final period, but the Swathers had enough offense to deny the Knights in the end.

The Swathers’ control showed as they carried a 31-18 lead into the fourth quarter.

Hesston kept a 17-16 intermission margin at Salina Sacred Heart’s expense.

The first quarter gave the Swathers a 13-7 lead over the Knights.
